On December 2, all UAE citizens celebrate a National Holiday in honor of the country’s 51st National Day.

UAE National Day 2022: Dubai’s RTA releases bus schedules, free parking, and metro timetable

The Dubai RTA has announced the hours of operation for its services on Commemoration Day and the 51st National Day of the UAE.

Free parking in Dubai

Dubai provides free parking to locals and guests who travel throughout the emirate to observe National Day in 2022. Users will not need to apply for parking because there won’t be any fees during the holiday, however multistory parking lots are still not covered by this rule.

Metro in Dubai

Over the holiday weekend (November 30 to December 3), Metro service will operate on both the Red and Green Lines from 5:00 am to 1:00 am. On Sunday, December 4th, both lines will run from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 a.m.

Dubai Tram

The Dubai Tram will operate from Wednesday to Saturday from 6:00 am to 1:00 am (the following day). The tram will run from 9:00 am until 1:00 am on Sunday, 4th December. 

Service Provider Centres

Service Provider Centers will be closed from December 1 to December 4 and reopen on December 5 on Monday. From December 1 to December 4, all Customer Happiness Centers will be closed. On December 5, they will all reopen.

The RTA Headquarters, Umm Ramool, Al Manara, Deira, Al Barsha, and Smart Customer Happiness Centers will all continue to provide 24/7 service as usual.

UAE National Day 2022 Events

The Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center will host live events from December 3 to December 11.

On the official website, tickets for the nine shows cost AED200. During the celebrations, the shows will begin each day at 6 PM.

“The show will be open for everyone who calls the UAE home to experience the 51st National Day official public shows for nine consecutive days … in Abu Dhabi at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre,” the UAE National Day website said, “you can also watch the show live on December 2 on the UAE National Day official website and all local TV channels.”

The UAE National Day Celebrations for 2022 have been announced by Dubai’s Global Village

The 51st UAE National Day will be celebrated by Global Village during a four-day period from December 1 to 4, with the theme “Brighter Together.” Every evening at 9 p.m., fireworks in the colors of the UAE flag will light up the region.

The national anthem and other traditional songs will be performed on the main stage by a special guest orchestra made up of 33 exceptional musicians.

Under the theme “Brighter Together,” Global Village will be decorated in the UAE flag’s colors, verses from the national song will be painted on Celebration Walk’s arches, and the main entrance will be illuminated with a national light show.

The Global Village Senior Manager of Guest Relations, Muhannad Ishaq said,

“As UAE’s home-grown entertainment brand, we are excited to be hosting a great line-up of activities on National Day and to provide a venue for families and friends to come together and celebrate our great nation. More than 1,500 prisoners are released on the orders of Sheikh Mohamed

Before the country’s 51st National Day, Sheikh Mohamed made the decision in an effort to provide released prisoners with a fresh start.

According to state news agency WAM, the President’s pardon allows the released prisoners the chance to reconsider their future and actively serve their families and communities in order to enjoy fulfilling social and professional lives.

Every year, on holidays like National Day, Ramadan, and Eid, UAE leaders pardon hundreds of prisoners to ease the suffering of the prisoners’ families.

UAE financial markets will be closed for National Day and Remembrance

Memorial Day and the 51st National Day holidays will cause the financial markets in the UAE to be closed from December 1 to December 4, according to the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA). On Monday, December 5, trading in the markets will start up again.

According to SCA, the decision was made following consultation and coordination with both the Dubai Financial Market and the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange. However, the Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange will determine the start and end dates of the holiday on its own, taking into account labor requirements and the general good.

UAE Police Forces are offering a 50% discount on traffic fines in honor of UAE National Day

Police in Umm Al Quwain have followed those in Ajman and Abu Dhabi in offering discounts of up to 50% off the price of traffic fines for quick payment.

The new practice of providing discounts was initially introduced by the Abu Dhabi Police.

Fines can be paid through the Ministry of Interior app or on police websites. The discounts do not apply to serious offenses, and the specific restrictions and reductions differ from one emirate to the next.

The Abu Dhabi police encourage paying penalties on time. A 35% discount is now available on fines paid within 60 days of issuance in order to discourage people from letting fines accumulate and running the danger of financial hardship. A 25% reduction will be given for payments made over any period of time between 60 days and a calendar year.

Drivers who pay between December 1, 2022, and January 6, 2023, for certain offenses in Umm Al Quwain will receive a 50% discount.
